Sparkys, a Czech retailer of toys, gifts, children's clothing and supplies, opens a two-storey toy house right on Wenceslas Square in the Juliš Palace building in May. The store with a total area of more than 1,000 sq m will thus become the company's new flagship store in the Czech Republic. The transaction was brokered by CBRE, a world leader in commercial real estate services. CBRE represented the Austrian investment fund S Immobilien AG, which leases these exclusive premises in the functionalist building from the first half of the 20th century.
“The toy house in the center of Prague on Wenceslas Square 22 is truly unique, not only because of its location, but also in its floor layout. The most units for rent in this location are typically ranging from 300 to 400 sq m. However, in the Juliš Palace we had a two-storey space with a total area of more than 1,000 sq m." comments Lucie Romeo, Consultant Advisory & Transaction Services - Retail at CBRE, adding: "We were looking for a truly representative tenant to further enhance the space. Sparkys had just finished renting in nearby Havířská Street and was looking for new premises in a busy and well-visible place. It was a clear match from the beginning, so both parties entered into a long-term lease. "
Sparkys is part of the Wormelen group, offering a rich and wide choice of toys and fun items suitable for kids of all ages since 1990.
“We have been looking for an opportunity to move our Toy House to a more visible place for a long time. This location is one of the most attractive in Prague and therefore a quick decision followed. Customers can look forward to a cozy store with great accessibility. We expect opening in May after a complete reconstruction." adds Jan Mařík, CEO of Sparkys.
