The Task Group focuses on the issue of regeneration and reconstruction of areas that no longer serve their purpose and become unused and neglected. We look at the issue from the point of their economic revitalization, promote the use of brownfields over greenfields, and consider related issues such as water management, green roofs or the elimination of thermal islands in cities. We also look at brownfields in the context of legislation and LEED and BREEAM certifications.
This task group is focused on systems of energy management of all types of buildings, production processes and services. Also focused on precise ideas and tools for continuous improvement through more efficient and better use of energy, no matter what kind of energy it is.
The European Commission adopted the Communication "Resource efficiency opportunities in the building sector" based on an Impact assessment roadmap. The general objective of this initiative is to reduce the environmental impact of buildings by improving the overall resource efficiency and, as a consequence, improve the related competitiveness of construction businesses.

LEED Task Group connects Council members and professionals from all aspects of project development to cooperate on the issues affecting LEED certifications in the Czech Republic. LEED is one of the 2 most respected green building certification systems in the world, and continues to grow in its presence and importance in the Czech market.
The aim of the task group is to dispel the concerns of public tender issuers in the specification of measurable procedural and qualitative parameters of the building. And also to create a "cookbook" for the green public tender issuers, based on cases already implemented in practice.
Over the last two years, CZGBC significantly contributed to how sustainable construction is perceived, especially by providing information about building certification system to a wider audience. The next logical step is to go deeper into the topic and examine building materials.
Czech Green Building Council fully understands the urge to focus on water management, and therefore established new task group Hospodaření s Vodou (Water Management). The new task group will continuously work on effective water saving solutions, both direct and indirect, their support and implementation in buildings. Firstly, we strive to establish an expert partnership with the Ministry of Environment, helping to define the grant programs in this scope.
